Hiding out 'til sunrise

Vanessa gave the two girls warm smile and a wave. Draco looked to tala "so,what now?"

Tala shrugged, "Find a comfy tree and catch some zzz's?" she mumbled. "I wanna spend some time with my mother and brother!" she said with a smile.

Vanessa giggled "it is awful early or us to be up" Draco chuckled Chordia gave Tala a hug "i'll see you all later!" she said pulling away and heading into the academy

Tala gave a wave as she left. She then let out a loud tired yawn, Petey nudged her. "Pidge pidgeot oto pidgeo? (Would you like me to carry you on my back and have a nap milady?)" he asked. "Nah..." Tala yawned again.

Draco yawned as well "hehe..it's been a long day"

"It's harder here than back home in Merri's ranch!" Tala admitted.

Vanessa stroked her head "d'aww, that must've been hard work for ya!"

"Not really the pokemon helpped out with everything at the ranch, but the pokemon can't help here, unless Band can you write me a 2,000 word essay?" Tala asked the Meowth. "Not in this lifetime!" Band said immediately. "I thought that!" Tala giggled.

Vanessa giggled

Band shook his head but gave a goofey smile. Tala gave him a smile, Petey was the only one other than Stripes that knew about Band so he wasn't surprized. "Mother, where have you been...?" Tala asked not really expecting an answer.

She hid her eyes "i was in hiding..." Draco gave her a sympathetic look "you two were the only good things that came when i married your father.... i lost my job... and once the team genesis attacks....no-one accepted me apart from your father and the rest of team genesis..." tears appeared in her eyes

"Not true! Every day Uncle Darcy always asked if a phone call came from you, if a letter came or if someone came to the door, so did the rest of the family, they wanted you to come home to where you could be safe! And since I was told about you, Uncle Darcy has done nothing but sing your praises! But you might not think that with the way he teased you as you grew up...right?" Tala said.

"darcy...." she clenched her fists "i...i love my brothers so much! but i.....i never felt that i could go back to them....i feared that they would treat me like everyone else did" tears were running from her eyes

"There's a family get together during the holidays if you wanna come? I'm trying to convince Draco to come, and Uncle Darcy and the others will be really happy to see you!" Tala offered looking up to her with big bright eyes.

Vanessa turned to Tala with tear-filled eyes. she wiped the tears away and held Tala's hand "i think i'll take you up on that offer!" she said,breaking a bright smile through. Draco gave them a warm smile

"Do you wanna hear a secrete? Uncle Darcy collects your favourite flowers everyday and puts them into your favourite vase, the one you gave him! And then at six o'clock he looks through the old albums with the pictures of you guys as you grew up!" Tala giggled "He's never forgot because he does it every day like clock work!"

Vanessa had a tear in her eye again

Tala looked over to Draco "Hey, bro come here!" she began "I wanna tell you something!"

Draco came over "what's up?"

Tala grabbed him by the wrist pulling him over "Family hug!" she giggled.

"GAH!" Vanessa hugged the two of them, Draco joined in but blushed a bit. Vanessa messed up his hair "quite the young man!" "aw mom!"

Tala gave a smile "And so far, he keeps his promises like a gentleman! he's still kept the promise he made me before we knew we were related!" Tala giggled. Band had jumped off Tala's shoulder and onto Petey's, both pokemon smiled at their trainer's delight.

Draco blushed and vanessa chuckled a bit

"Yup! So where do you guys wanna hang out?" Tala asked.

Draco yawned "i dunno....." vanessa giggled "well he's certainly tired!"
