Ghosts at lunch, return of a madman.

Max numbly sat in his seat, feet up on the table. He bit into his burger, and stared off into the distance. Max was suspended after a certain incident a while back, but after he did his time, it was back to school. He wondered if his old friends even knew he existed anymore. Taking another bite, Max remembered the cafetiria food well. It was some of the best food he'd ever had, next to only grampa Fuji's cooking.

Max's train of thought as the table his feet were on colapsed, causing him to fall over. Looking up, Max saw his Lairion chowing down on the metal table leg. Max grumbled, and stared at Lairion for a moment, before speaking in a harsh tone.
"What have I told you about eating things like tables?!?"
Larion whimpered for a second before going back to eating the leg. Max looked up to see a few familiar faces looking down on him, laughing in a friendly tone. One reached their arm out to help Max up.
"Welcome back, old friend."

Harley walked in and looked around for anyone he knew. He saw Max and remembered him from Greg's description and stories.

"Hey, you might happen tu be Max?" He asked friendly.

Max stood up straight, playfully kicking larion. He looked over to see someone new talking to him. Max gave the person the closest thing to a friendly smile he could make.

"Yup, that'd be me. You know Greg? I haven't seen him around yet, do you know where he might be?" Max asked, and was obviously having trouble keep his smile straight.

Harley frowned.

"Greg took off, he left the academy to continue his Pokemon journey, said he might come back when he's taken on the gym challenge from every region. I've just got a letter from him, he's just won his third badge in Johto." Harley thought about what it must be like to see the world.

Flame lost his smile, which quickly turned to an upset grimace.
"Really? Ah, shizniblets. He was a good buddy. How's his pikachu doing?" Max asked again, just before larion began to eat yet another leg off the same table.

Max chuckled uncontrollably. But realizing he knew this luxaray, Max knelt to give a hug to the cat-like pokemon, who gladly complied. Max then looked around, as if expecting something.
"Hana? Please tell me she hasn't left." Max growled and rolled his eyes.

"She's outside? Good lil' guy!" Max gleefully patted Luxaray's head whilst bolting out the door.
"Hana?"

Max smirked and raised an eyebrow "Miss me?"
He was glad at least one of his old friends was here. Now that Greg was gone, Hana was the only person in this school that had shown kindness previously.

Max shifted his weight on one foot, crossed his arms, and gave a confused expression.
Missing, dead, or just not here anymore?

Harley patted Tsunade's head and smiled. He looked at Max take off and he patted Luxray. He made his way over to Hana and Max.

"Hey Hana, and Max yes Gregs Pikachu is fine."

In the middle of the conversation, Max looked his watch and looked up again. "We have some extra time, do you guys mind filling me in and showing me around?"

at that moment red walked around the corner with his newly caught aipom on his shoulder

Harley smiled.

"Howdy bud." He pointed to Max and introduced Max to Harri.

Tristan strolled into the cafeteria, Skarmory hopping along behind. He saw someone he didn't know with Hana, Harley and Red. He decided to see who it was. He walked over and introduced himself.

"Hey, I'm Tristan. Nice to meetcha!"

Hey Im Harri or Red

"Hello." Max dully addressed another new face. His eyes then widened in excitement "Why don't we have a quick battle?"

errr...OK it gives me time to try out my new pokemon

Max gave a psychotic smile that he had no trouble with keeping "Anyone else?"
