Time For Prom!

Subject: Time For Prom! Sun May 01, 2011 11:40 am

It was dark outside and everyone of the juniors and seniors were ready for prom. Cynthia Maple, one of the teachers assisting with prom was already in gym after a long day of setting up. The gym had new paints and a flower theme. Cynthia was wearing a emerald sparkling green dress with a white sweater. Cynthia's hair was curled and she wore green high heels with butterfree designs on them, the earrings with beautifly designs, she just looked flawless. The students entered the gym and started to dance.

Hana awkwardly stood in the corner, wearing a somewhat puffy pink dress that came just above her knees with a black sash tied around the stomach. She had plonked a pink decorative flower in her hair and was wearing pink and white converse shoes. "Why did I even bother coming here?" she said to herself as she let out a yawn. "I don't look stunning. I never do. Nor do I want to. I dressed scruffy for a reason, and now I'm just embarrassing myself by being here". She shrugged and and twiddled her curly blonde hair. "On second thought...." she whispered as she grinned and caught sight of the snacks.

Greg walked in, not even bothering to dress up. He looked at all the well dressed kids, then at Pikachu. "Dances really arn't my thing." He said cooly, he went over to the snack table and stacked his plate, then he saw Hana, she looked a lot better than Greg did.

"Hey Hana, you look nice." He said, then he took a bite of a cupcake. Pikachu grabbed it from him and stuffed it in it's mouth.

Hana turned to Gregg with a half eaten mini chocolate roll sticking out of her mouth. She took it out and put it back on her plate. "Uh, thanks Gregg. You....too?" she said as she smiled and scratched the side of her head.

Greg looked himself over. His hair was bedraggled, his cap wasn't with him, so his hair was like a living nightmare, his jacket was dirty, and he had ripped the knee caps of his pants.

"Thaaanks..." Greg said still looking himself over.

"Greg and Hana, why don't you both dance together, my dears." Cynthia said as Hana and Greg whispered in each other's ear.
"If you both dance together, I will give you extra credit!" Cynthia said as Hana and Greg looked at each other again.

Hana stood up firmly, took a deep breath and held her index finger up.
"No." she said, followed by a quick smirk that disappeared from her face within seconds.

Greg looked at Hana, "It doesn't matter, it's all up to you..." Greg looked over at a couple of other kids who were dancing. Pikachu licked his nose, like always and then he finished scarfing down the cupcake.

"I'm a terrible dancer. I mean really. I look like I've had an accident or something when I attempt to dance". The pokéball she was keeping safely in her sash started to rattle in agreement. "Oh, be quiet you!" she said aggressively, making it look like she was talking to herself again.

Greg shrugged. "I can't dance either, but I always try... Even if I do look stupid." Greg said still looking over at the other kids. Pikachu had started dancing by himself.

"Very well my dears, I think you would do good dancing together." Cynthia said proudly as she took out her clipboard and put extra credit under Hana and Greg's names.

Greg looked at Hana he had a small grin. "If I can't dance, and you can't dance..." He started softly laughing. "That would be so funny." he siad chuckling just thinking about it.

"Wow, we'd look like old people dancing at a wedding or somethin'..." she said, amused by her own words.

Greg laughed, "I guess, but you never know." He said tensing up again.

Cynthia giggled at this comment and then she decided to walk over to the microphone.
"Lets put our hands together for Hana and Greg to preform a dance! Please take mercy on them if you don't like how they dance but they are trying!" Cynthia said as Greg and Hana looked away from the crowd. Cynthia walked back over to Hana and Greg and smiled.
"Now, this is the first step to becoming a trainer, is you must get used to being in front of people." Cynthia said as she walked over towards the wall to watch them dance.

Greg didn't know any dance moves, plus he was off guard. So to ease up he did a quick handstand. Landing on his feet soon after. "Well Hana?"

Hana backed up against the wall and stared at the crowd intensely. "I ain't dancin' in front of these people! Nuh-uh, no way!" she said in a low voice. She hated people staring at her. Hated hated hated it.She looked beside her and yet again saw the snack table. "Ooh, food!" she squealed as she picked up a sausage roll.

Greg looked at the people. "Well she said no, and it aint my place to argue." Greg said smiling, Pikachu looked up at him and nudged him over towards some other kids. Greg went, looking back at Cynthia and Hana quickly, then looked straight ahead. Pikachu jumped up on his shoulder licking his hands trying to get Greg's hair down, which got a bunch of giggle from other kids.

Hana continued to destroy the snack table, eating everything that looked appealing, which was....basically everything really. The pokéball fell out of her sash and onto the floor, with an angry Luxray being released from it. "Lux!" he growled as he repeatedly nudged Hana with his head.

Greg looked over at Bolt, then back to the other kids he was talking to. He nearly forgot, he was no more than a freshman. He was certanly glad he looked older than twelve.

"Jeez! Whaddya want, fool?!" She yelled as she picked up a sandwich and gave it to him. He sat down and licked his paws before devouring it whole. "If you get indigestion, don't some crying to me" she said as she tapped his head. He scoffed at her remark. 'As if you're one to talk!' He thought.

Greg grew tired, he found a table threw his jacket over his face and slept. Even with the music blaring, he was more comfortable than usual.

Bolt walked off from Hana and ventured through the gym, weaving in and out of the students. He spotted a Pikachu and ran up to it, thinking it was Greg's (dang, I kept spelling it double G, *facepalm*) Pikachu. He called over to it, but the Pikachu gave him a confused glance. It jumped on it's trainer's shoulder and continued to stare at him. "Lux..." Bolt muttered, ramming his head against a wall in embarrassment.

Pikachu looked over seeing Bolt talking too another Pikachu. Pikachu ran over to Bolt, jumping through legs and what not. He made it. "Pika?" Pikachu jumped on Bolt's back, and just started talking.

"Lux!" He rode around in circles. "Lux, lux Luxray!" - Have you seen what Hana's doing? She's scoffing down the food like there's no tomorrow! Jeez, I wouldn't be surprised if she ate the actual table, too! Anyways, what's goin' on with you?
