Letters and a phone call

Tala went into the post office to collect her packages since Narri has given her her letters. There were two packages which was odd since she only expected one. Putting them in her bag she walked over to the video phone and called her Uncle Darcy. "Oh hey darling! Vanessa, Tala's on the phone!" Darcy called.

Vanessa heard this and rushed to the phone "Draco passed on the message ok then sweetie?"

Tala gave a grin not wanting to tell her what had happened "He told me to call..." she said nervousness and embarrassment all over her face.

Vanessa gave a confused look "are you alright sweetie? You seem really distracted..."

"I'm alright dont worry about me!" she said quickly "What did you want to talk about" she asked.

"Suicune asked me to come back for a while and help with something so I'll be back offer the summer dance!" Tala cherped.

"good,good! Second, any booooyfriends i should know about?"

"MOM!! How did you figure that out...?" Tala blushed.

Tristan walked in, right on cue. He saw Tala, and waved. "Hey beautiful!" he smiled as he went to check his mail. All he found was an unmarked, sealed letter. When he opened ut, there was just a blank piece of paper inside. "Oh Sh- Sugar" He said, stopping himself.

Vanessa raised an eyebrow for a minute. She giggled "you're showing the same signs as i did when i was dating your father!"

"That was Tristan my boyfriend. Must have gotten something that wasn't quiet right I'll ask later but what was the third thing you wanted to asked me about?" Tala asked blushing a bit more.

"well,y'know Draco mentioned something that would come in handy?.." Vanessa pulled out a broch with a blue shield on it,with an aura sphere in the middle "i found this,it was given to me by a friend of Nucleo's YEARS ago...he said it protects your aura from evil spells,y'know, the spells that brainwash people? I wondered if you'd be interested!"

"My aura can protect me from that kind of thing but if you think that I should have it then it's your decision, I'll do wht you say mum!" Tala said thoughtfully.

Vanessa thought to herself for a minute "well....if you think you can withstand that sort of thing,i might give it to your brother.after what Nucleo's been up to recently,he might need this sort of protection..."

"That's a good idea he hasn't learned how to use his aura to protect himself from that kind of thing so yeah, you should give it to him!" Tala agreed.

Vanessa giggled "oh! I meant to show you this!" She put the broch down and showed her a sky blue dress with a lilac shawl "the twins INSISTED that i get this dress,what do you think of it?" She asked holding it in front of her

"It suits you mum! You'd look beautiful in it!" Tala said with a grin. She remembered when the twins took her shopping boy that wasn't a fun day.

Vanessa smiled and put it down "so,is that boyfriend of yours still there?"

Tala shrugged "I dunno why?" "You're too young for boyfriends!" Darcy barked.

Vanessa chuckled and wagged her finger a little "c'mon now darcy! Some fall in love earlier than others!" Vanessa smiled at Tala "i thought it would be best if i introduced myself,is that alright with you?"

"Uh, alright." Tala mumbled before looking around for Tristan to see if he was still there.

"Tristan was standing next to another Phone, punching a number in. "Can I must make this call, it is... Very urgent." he said, pressing the call button and taking the blank piece of paper out of his pocket. "I got the message," He said, setting fire to the letter. It burned instantly and he put the lighter away. The person he was calling whispered something inaudible to anyone other than Tristan and his jaw dropped. He closed the call instantly and put his head against the screen, putting his hand over his face and crying.

Tala gave a worried glance "Tristan is something wrong?" she asked.

He looked in the envelope and saw a piece of papae, confirming the news he got. "My brother died." He sobbed.
