Ing a friend the another side

Tala was waiting at the lake side with a picnic full of baked goods, she had asked Draco to hide in the trees out of sight till she called him out. She waited for Ashley and Chordia with Ty, Stripes, Band and Petey around her.

Ashley and Chordia walked to them and sat down Draco peeked out from behind the trees

"Hey guys, can I tell you something?" she asked.

Chordia nodded "sure,what's on your mind?"

Tala told them what happened the other day at the lake when she met Draco, when she was done she took a deep breathe looking to see their reaction.

Ashley covered her mouth, this reminded her of the instant in the forest before Chromo showed up Chordia thought to herself for a minute

"Something else happened, I met Draco again earlier and I learned a lot, we then bumped into his father and he was going to try an hurt me but Draco protected me from him, I was frightened and he reassured me after... He's not the ba guy we thought he was and I want you to see that! So Draco can you come over?" Tala called taking a deep breath and waving Draco over.

Draco came out and sat down with them, Ashley hid her eyes,but not for the reason draco was thinking of

"Don't be mad at him, he's a good person, you just had to catch him 'off the clock' he's really nice, and he's a lot like Ryuu on a good day!" she said with a smile leaning against Draco's side with a smile.

"it's not that" she brought her eyes back into view "i'll explain later" she whispered to draco

Tala looked around feeling akward she gave a smile sitting straight. "I made this picnic for us so dig in!" she said, she was glade she made lots of food it meant they could comment on the food and make small talk.

They all tucked in Chordia kept looking at her watch nervously

"Something wrong Chordia? I can pack some of it to go if you have to be somewhere?" she offered with a curious gaze.

"The 20th July, why?" she asked.

"oh that's ok then!" she said with a cheery smile and continued to tuck in

"So what do you think of the food? Be honest!" Tala said with a smile. Her Pokemon smiled in delight and approval.

"it's awesome!!!" Chordia called out in delight Draco gave Tala a thumbs up and ashley swallowed and gave Tala a cheery smile "I think we all agree!"

"Aww it's just a little something I whipped up!" she said with a smile "Let's talk about something!" Tala suggested.

Tala gave a dumb look and shrugged "All I know is that it's in the summer! I'll ask Red and let you know soon, unless one of you two know?" Tala said blushing slightly "None of us have dates either, but I think Colin's going to ask Ashley..." she giggled.

Ashley blushed and waved her arms frantically "heyheyheyheyhey!!! WHERE did you get that idea from!?!?" Chordia and Draco just laughed

"He gives you what Ryuu refers to as 'The Eyes!'" Tala said giving her the googily eyes before giving a giggle.

Ashley's face went completely red "uh...i don't think so! he seems to be doing a lot with.....uh..." "with who?" "....Kelly"

Tala gave her a strange look "Who in the right mind would go out with Kelly, no offence Draco, she being your cousin and all but, no is she crazy! I'm glad Kyle isn't the same as her!" Tala said.
