Steven vs Rachel

Rachel arrives "Ready?"

"Quite. We're going to play Double Battle, all six pokemon. Fine by you?" Devin picks up his first two pokeballs - one being a quick ball - and he sends out his first two.
Luxray and Ninetails.

"Nice to see . . ." Devin said, just in time for the area to shift at its regular two-minute interval. The ice melted, turning into a slippery slush, grass pushing out between the liquidy slush. Then flowers, and the slush became cold water. Grass and poison up, flying and ground down.
"Let's start."
Kyubi - the Ninetails - prances out to the side, before concentrating on Monferno. Then, raising her jowls, releasing Confuse Ray on Monferno. At the same time, Luxray begins Charge.

"Ouch...Prinplup!" Prinplup uses Hydro Pump on the Nintales.

Ninetails takes a hit, retaining about 1/4 of her max life. "Ninetails - Luxray. Number one." The Pokemon take the hint, and Ninetails Digs into the ground, digging towards Prinplup. Then, once under, she claws up, jumping out of a hole and begins clawing at Prinplup. Luxray watches . . .

"Gotcha there." Devin smirks.
Luxray unleashes a Thunder attack, the Charge making it's accuracy 100%, and then Monferno's elevated position to increase damage.
Ninetails dives back into the ground, avoiding the blast of fire, and causing the blast to instead hit Prinplup.

"Number two, guys."
Ninetails popped out of the ground, releasing a Fire Spin around Pigeot, creating a ring of fire, forcing it to fly or stay in the circle. Luxray then persued Monferno, attempting Crunch.

"Move 8." said Rachel. Thunder used Thundershock and Prinplup used Hydro Pump together which slammed into Gallade.

"Nice one," Devin said, withdrawing Gallade.
Then he sends out Eupoleon. "Squall - Surf." Eupoleon immediately began Surf, as Ninetails Dug. The attack began to surround them, curving over their heads in a swell.

Shift: Everywhere the Surf swept, the grass turned into sand, forming a beach-like area. Water and Ground up, Fire and Grass down.

Shell Bell regained life equivalent to 1/3 of the damage of the Thundershock, leaving Eupoleon with 5/6ths of its max HP. The wet sand, however, weakened Ninetails, whose speed and Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense dropped, those being its best stats. The Raichu would be the biggest problem, so the team set out to take it down.

"Eupoleon and Ninetails - get the Raichu!"
Ninetails used Agility to make up for its lost speed, before using Confuse Ray. Eupoleon charged Raichu, attempting to hit it with Steel Wing, a horizontal slash at the Raichu's belly.

"Dang it, Ninetails." Steven returned Ninetails, sending out Gallade.
"Gallade, Calm Mind. Eupoleon, Ice Beam on Metagross." His initial two teams down, Steven didn't have numbers for combinations . . . just moves.

Metagross got hit but Metagross's leftover healed him a bit. Rachel sent out Pidgeot. "9." Pidgeot started flying in circles distacting both Empolen and Gallade. Metagross then ran into the back of Empolen.

Eupoleon was knocked out without much of a fight, as that was Steven's weaker Eupoleon (lv 45, versus his level 77 one), so Steven returned it, sending out Roran, his Lucario. Steel, Psychic, Fighting, versus Flying and Steel.

The ground shifted, the grass turned and melted, as did the flowers, gaining first a white, and then silverish metallic color, becoming a steel platform, with steel beams lined up on one side.

"Roran and Gallade, Physical."
Roran used Extremespeed and Gallade used Teleport, Gallade appearing on top of Metagross, just as Roran appeared below it, heaving it up. Gallade used a Force Palm, dealing hefty damage to Metagross in one blow, just as Lucario used Aura Sphere, sending Metagross up into the air. Gallade teleported to Lucario's side, barely making it to his chest spike.
"Special."

Gallade used Psycho Cut, hitting the Metagross into the steel beams, before Lucario finished the Metagross off with a Bone Rush.
Barrier remained for thirty more seconds.

Metagross almost fainted. Metagross's leftovers healed him a bit. Metagross ran in circles while pidgeot flys aiming for Lucario's back. "How bout it?" said Rachel.

"How about what?" Gallade teleported behind Lucario, back to back, though making sure to dodge the spikes. As Pigeot neared, Gallade used Psybeam, while Lucario powered up, and then used Extremespeed, got in Metagross's way, and hit him with Reversal, using his momentum to crash him into the ground.
