The Couple in the pool

Tristan walked out of the changing rooms, in baggy Hawaiian shorts and with goggles. He put his tracksuit in a locker and jumped in halfway down the pool, and waited for Tala.

Tala came out wearing a black and red swimming costume. She left her clothes in a locker. She walked over to the shallow end and sat with her feet in the water staring into the pool.

Tristan surfaced near Tala and shook the water out of his hair. He grinned at her and sat up on the pool edge next to her.

Tala gave him a smile. "You're a great swimmer!" she commented blushing slightly.

"Thanks, you have to be a good swimmer to be in the Air Force. I didn't get much practise back in Cerulean, but I have spent hours in here. Can you swim?" He said.

Tala went a bit more red "No I can't really..." she admitted a bit embarrassed. "I never had time to learn but I was planning on learning, at some point..."

"Don't be embarrased, swimming's hard to get the hang of!" He said, cuddling up to her.

Tala gave a smile glad he didn't laugh at her. "Thanks, people usually laugh at me when I tell them I can't swim."

"Really? That's silly, id have thought they would have more respect. Do you want to learn to swim?" He said as he fetched his towel and wrapped it round him and Tala.

"I'd love to learn, I'd be forever greatful too!" Tala said with a bright smile.

"When do you want to start?" He said, putting his arm round Tala.

"You'd really teach me?" Tala asked her eyes lighting up like a torch.

"Yeah, I'd do it for you" Tristan said, leaning in for a kiss.

Tala felt so overjoyed she didn't notice Tristan's intentions.

He pushed her in, and then slid in, leaving the towel on the edge. "Lets just hope Nat and Narri aren't gonna come..." He said, before beckoning taps over to by the poolside.

Tala grabbed the side of the pool to hold herself above water "They won't, but if Narri seen that you'd have a ninja star in your side!" she groaned.

"Well, She didn't so I don't. Anyway, first thing's first, can you gloat on your back and can you do doggy paddle? Just so I know you can get back or just float and I'll a pull you back." He said,

"Doggy what? uh, I think I can float on my back!" she said nervously.

"Just show me, this is very important" He said, sitting in the poolside.

Tala let go of the edge of the pool laying on her back. She floated a little but she panicked when water filled her ears and went in her eyes and went under the water.

Tristan splashed in and grabbed Tala's waist. He surfaced and lay her down on the poolside. He opened her mouth and made sure her tongue wasn't blocking her airways, and rolled her onto her side. He lightly pat her back and she coughed up the water she had swallowed.

"T-thanks that's my problem when I try to swim!" she said sitting up. She let out a sigh thinking it was hopeless.

"Don't worry, I can get you some breathing apparatus if you want, so even if you go underwater, you will be able to breathe. Are you okay?" He asked as he hugged her again.

"I'm alright, I just can't stop myself from panicing!" she said relaxing in his embrace.

"Just remember the floor is only 50 Centimetres below you at this end!" He said, Leaning on Tala's lap and looking up. "You look Beautiful from here"
