A Thief On The Loose

"GET BACK HERE!" a booming voice echoed throughout the hollow trees. Hana jumped quickly through the high tree tops, stealthily and noiselessly moving from one giant branch to another. She was wearing her usual attire along with her usual white and green ski goggles over her eyes which she used as protection rather than to make a fashion statement. The forest's atmosphere suddenly died down and in result, Hana stopped in her tracks and sat down against a tree, reading the old, tattered notebook that was in her hand.

Hana quickly shoved the book behind her back and out of sight. Looking down from the tree that she was in she replied "oh hey Tala! Uh, I'm fine, I'm just relaxing up here to get away from all of the ruckus at the academy".

She mentally face palmed at how bad her hiding skills were. "It's just my schedule for today" she lied.

Without a second thought Hana whipped the old notebook from behind her back and swung down to ground level. "Well, here goes" she began as she cleared her throat. "I'm not sure if you've ever met my cousin Emily but she's a very mysterious character. She's kinda intimidating but she has this soft side that she hates people knowing about...and lately she's been kinda depressed and she won't talk to anybody...so I stole her songbook to see if there's any clues in here to why she's feeling so down all the time".

Hana's head perked up as she heard a frustrated scream coming from near-by. "Well...you could help me by not letting her kill me?" she gulped, getting to her feet and preparing herself to run.

She threw the book to Tala and proceeded to swing her way back up to the top of the tree in a gymnastic-like fashion. A figure slowly made it's self visible in the distance and gradually made it's way over to Tala.

Emily frowned and snapped her head to the side, her long blonde hair mirroring her actions. "Well I suppose I'll have to look elsewhere" she muttered as she narrowed her eyes and scanned the tree tops.
